Hi, I’m Jennifer — a mom of two girls and married to my high school sweetheart, Jason, for 26 years. I grew up in Normandy Park, and my husband and I bought our first home together in Seahurst. Community has always been at the heart of our story.

I’ve loved arts and crafts for as long as I can remember. Some of my favorite memories are sitting around the table with my girls — painting, gluing, building, and creating without worrying about perfection. In our home, mistakes aren’t failures. They’re growth. They’re learning. They’re part of the process.

A few weeks before the pandemic lockdown, we brought home two baby bunnies: Peepers and Molasses. They quickly became cherished members of our family and brought so much comfort during an uncertain time.

When our sweet Molasses passed away from a heart defect, our hearts were broken. To keep Peepers from being lonely, we welcomed Romeo, Luna, and Flopsy into our home. Later, in 2025, Frankie and Rosie joined our growing bunny family. Each one has a completely different personality — curious, calm, playful, shy, and affectionate — and each has added something special to our lives.

At some point, it just clicked.

We wanted to combine the two things we love most — art and our bunnies — and create a space where others could experience that same joy, connection, and creativity.

And so, The Hoppy Artist was born.

Our daughters, Shyla and Odessa, are part of the business as well, helping bring energy, creativity, and heart to everything we do — even as they continue their college studies. This has truly become a family dream, built together.

Today, The Hoppy Artist is a place where creativity meets community. Where children, families and adults can paint, build, explore, and pause for a little bunny snuggle. It’s a space where perfection isn’t the goal — expression is. Where laughter is welcome. Where friendships form. Where art and animals bring people together.
